Chemistry Resource Spotlight: Organic Chemistry Data

One of my favorite resources for finding cool examples of name reactions! There's a lot of good stuff on the website, including safety resources, educational resources and videos. The part I use the most is the total synthesis links, which include the Hans Reich collection featured as part of DOC. There's also links to problem sets from many different groups which inspire some mechanism Monday problems.

Going to the Reich collection, I like to sort either by "New" to check out new additions or to sort by name reactions if I'm feeling in the mood for a particular mechanism but want a real-world example. You can also sort by types of ring structures if you're looking for inspiration on how to make a particular structure.

This is just one of the cool things the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry offers and I can't recommend enough checking it out whether you're looking for problem set inspiration, problems to put on exams, or ideas on how to proceed in your own chemistry!
