# Chemistry Resource Spotlight: Organic Chemistry Data

One of my favorite resources for finding cool examples of name reactions! There's a lot of good stuff on the website, including [safety resources](https://organicchemistrydata.org/links/?ref=chemissst.com#safety%5Fresources), [educational resources](https://organicchemistrydata.org/links/?ref=chemissst.com#resources%5Ffor%5Feducators%5Fand%5Fstudents) and [videos](https://organicchemistrydata.org/links/?ref=chemissst.com#organic%5Fchemistry%5Fvideos). The part I use the most is the [total synthesis links](https://organicchemistrydata.org/links/?ref=chemissst.com#lists-of-total-syntheses-reaction-schemes-are-included-), which include the Hans Reich collection featured as part of DOC. There's also links to problem sets from many different groups which inspire some mechanism Monday problems.  
  
Going to the [Reich collection](https://organicchemistrydata.org/hansreich/resources/syntheses/?index=groupby%2Fnamed%5Freactions&page=equilenin-Bachmann%2F&ref=chemissst.com), I like to sort either by "New" to check out new additions or to sort by name reactions if I'm feeling in the mood for a particular mechanism but want a real-world example. You can also sort by types of ring structures if you're looking for inspiration on how to make a particular structure.  
  
This is just one of the cool things the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry offers and I can't recommend enough checking it out whether you're looking for problem set inspiration, problems to put on exams, or ideas on how to proceed in your own chemistry!
